Music Files

I'm trying to clean up my PC of unnecessary files at the moment and noticed that some of my music tracks are duplicated. There are .wma and .m4a. This is possibly because on my old PC I used iTunes and Media Player and so things all got a bit muddled. I don't own an iPod so have decided I can do without iTunes. Which type of files should I keep and which should I bin? :?

They're both pretty much comparable. So there isn't really much to favour one over the other, unless you have a device that can only play one type. So it's just a case of picking one to get rid of. If later down the line you get an mp3 player or something that can only play one file type, you can interconvert between the two anyway, provided the files aren't DRM protected.

Thanks. Windows Media Player doesn't seem to have a problem with either but Spotify's quite choosy. I suppose there's no harm in both staying but I'm starting again with my back up to Mozy and it's taking bloody ages!
