Merkur 42 1904. Anygood?

Has anyone here tried a Merkur 42 1904? Love the look of the razor but wondering why its so much cheaper than their other razors. Is it as good as their other razors or would I be better buying the more expensive 33c or the 34 HD?
 
I have the open comb one and find it a nice shaver. It's designed to almost be a clone of the Gillette '04. The head is similar and the handle is similar to one of Gillettes fancier models.
Check the prices for they may differ by up to 10$.
It's worth having. Try Connaughts they usually have the best price and good delivery.

That's quite odd - I have the O/C version and find it to be about the most mild razor I have used so far.

Somewhat disappointing as I had the impression it was meant to be aggressive but I find myself applying lots of pressure and even then, I'm reaching for my Super Adjustable to finish off. I've tried a few blades in it too: Gillette Yellow & Superthins amongst them.
