And thanks to you for the exceptionally kind words! Thanks for the beautiful review, I'll have to get one of these myself already.

Thanks JayGee! That's precisely it for me - as @wayne mattison has proven, you can get one in each colour for not a huge sum of money! As I only need the one, a £40 outlay is really quite reasonable when you consider how well it performs, and how well it is made! I look at the more expensive, similar-look brushes and don't have a yearning for it. The only brushes I really like the look of, now, are ones with flamboyant handles. They can wait for a bit though, I'd be happy using this and this alone herein.Good review,
I have one of these & wholly agree with your findings.
Terrific value for money, I had a hankering for a chubby 3, not any more.
This will do nicely,. Is the Simpson's better? Probably, not 5x though.

It has to be said, although this is dense especially considering the other brushes I own (Midas Custom 26mm silvertip, Razorock 24mm synth), it does still splay tremendously well. I've toyed with the idea of buying a 26mm finest Masetoshaving knot (should they offer one) and replace the knot in the Midas with that... Don't get me wrong, the Midas knot is good, but I do love the hybrid-fan-ish shape of the Maseto vs the bulbous paintbrush that is the Midas.I've got a Chubby 1 & a Chubby 2, both in best badger & yet I prefer my Duke 3. I reckon they're too dense.

More than likely at some point, yes. I might just buy one now before the pound dive-bombs post-Brexit and put it away to use if/when I feel like it or the Midas starts shedding, whichever comes first.
