Windex open comb crossed them off the list as the maker of your unknown open comb. The correct handle is an unmarked (no dates or serial numbers) Old-type copy.

Eyes peeled for a Marspen. Marks & Spencer.
Like this? Bought two mismatched razors from the same seller, that would explain alot.

It's a match! That was the handle that I was curious about from the last batch you showed as it didn't seem to fit ... particularly from the crimp down as that's where (often faded) date and serial information would be stamped.

Perfect!
Just my tech without a handle now haha. I'll keep on looking, thanks

Yes, I was just looking back at your older acquisition to see what the head was. As you know, it's a thin or fat handle you need. Or a two-piece handle like from the bakelite counter-top sets. Oh, or a simple knurl/lined handle depending upon whether the comb has a ridge on it or not ... I think it could be as the stamp is on the lower half of the base. See: https://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/community/threads/curious-detail-on-this-gillette-tech.52313/

This set once the correct head/handle combo is achieved:

The long plastic handle on the Windex is, I'm sure you already know, from a later Tech (1960s) and most often found with British heads for the French market.

Ah, great stuff. Yes I'd seen the black handle on Mr Razor's page and thought it odd. Thanks for all the info, I really appreciate it

I shaved with the NEW long comb the other day and I was blown away, just great

I know! A truly fantastic razor. It took me a while to get to know mine as well. I'm sure you will enjoy using it more and more with each shave.

Seriously if I was looking for just a couple of razors, I'd keep a Tech for daily shaves and a NEW LC for a few days worth of growth.
