Lyons coffee bags

For various technical reasons I'm staying at my dear mama's house and in the absence of decent coffee here (she only has decaf or some really weak stuff) I've got myself some Lyons coffee bags. They are not perfect, but they make a reasonably good cuppa under the circumstances and they'll do for a few days!

Certainly beats instant anyway........ [emoji15]

I used to take coffee bags with me on climbing and camping/ bivvying trips into the Peak District in my younger days, before any of us had regular access to a car we'd get a lift on the FRiday night or Saturday morning and stay out all weekend and hitch back.

They were a much better alternative to freeze dried crap back then and easier to carry around.

Not seen coffee bags since about 1983. Where do they sell them?

Tesco for sure. I also believe Waitrose stock them too.

I got mine from Waitrose. I've also given a box of coffee bags to my sister, being a non-coffee drinker she's only got some terrible instant. I can have a decent mug when I go over to hers!
