A big hello to you all.

I've been browsing the forums for a while and finally decided to register. Good to be here and look forward to exchanging info and banter on the forums.

I'm currently using a Merkur 38c razor and palmolive shaving sticks. Looking to shift up a gear and try a nice rose based cream or soap.

Rose. Hmm. I think T&H do one, as do Fitjar (a very nice one) and I know Cyril R Salter does one too ('Wild Rose" iirc).

Check out the Coral range at Trumpers - it's all rose, but not quite single note (some other stuff in there to round out the fragrance, make it less one-dimensional).

Have browsed the site several times. Mainly, to decide on a razor. I read a lot of recommendations for the 34c as a starter razor. I could get away with something bigger and went with the 38c. Really pleased. I am using a supermarket blade. From browsing the forums, it seems it is a Red Israeli Personna. It's a nice blade, but I think I am ready for sharper. I have a sample blade pack and am going through it at the moment.

Welcome Rocky. I have a 34C but also have a 38 in the post thanks to another member here. Be interesting to try out the differences in handles, I think the head is identical.
