Thirsty soaps are the best soaps in my opinion. They produce the slickest most protective lathers.

Sample of Martin de Candle. Leftovers after a 10 second swirl on the soap, face washed with lather as a pre shave, 3 passes and another lather rinse to finish. Still enough for another full shave!

Slightly disappointing tbh, not because of the lather though.

Much less irritation on my neck, which is obviously good, but there's a couple of small patches I'm not entirely happy with. Just need to work on those area and contain to practice no pressure.

The lather was nice and thick, though there isn't much of a scent and it just felt quite utilitarian.

Had to use the Speick today as it was waiting with a neighbour when I got home and I wanted to give it a shot! Nice thick lather but only just enough for a third pass... enjoyed the shave though, not the best picture...
