Afternoon all,

Just been out in the snow and taken a snap of the latest brush:

It's imitation ivory, pictured with a 24mm silvertip. The knot isn't glued yet, so it might end up containing a finest two-band instead.

I'll be sticking a few on B/S/T later on - have to head out in the snow and finish off another one... the "Fido LE 2010"

This is all too much for me. I'm watching England locked in battle with South Africa and now there is something even more exciting going on!

If mine looks as good as this one, I'll be well pleased!

Just curious Neo, for a 24mm knot what bore size for handle would you use?

I ask because I made that mistake, too short a loft with too small a bore compacted my knot making it a little too tight.
Vulfix told me the same when I wanted them to re knot a handle for me with a short loft.

I like that!

I think a butterscotch handle would sell well - the Yanks love 'em (bit of olde England).

Edit: I mean, of course, butterscotch the colour not the sweetmeat. Er, just thought I'd make that clear.

Thanks for the feedback as always :D

Antdad - for 24mm knots I bore a 26mm hole and usually set them at double the height of the resin plug at the bottom of the knot (does that make sense?!) From that measurement I can go deeper for short loft or remove material from the handle (whilst turning) for longer loft.

Rev - I'm going to keep an eye out for more styles of polyester - I have one blank left to turn one of these for myself, then will be heading back to see what they've got.

Which Kent brush is that? Or is it an Antdad hybrid with a Golden Nib knot?

Unfortunately knot Fido, the last B&B LE Brush was made by Kent, their latest LE is the black prototype on the right, also made by Kent I believe.

Looking good there!

As a total newbie to all this is it possible to source the knots on their own or do you remove the know from an existing brush?

One of my hobbies is wood turning and it would make an interesting project.
