Kent brushes

Kent brushes used to be a well regarded brand but it seems they’re not so popular anymore looking at many SOTD posts. Anyone still use them?

I’m a big fan, hugely underrated in my opinion. Too soft for many, but I manage to whip up a lather from hard soaps without any issues. I find their handles are of excellent quality and much more comfortable in use than they look. My BK4 is my favourite badger, perfect size for me although the BK8 is pure luxury. You can occasionally pick up NOS on the internet at a decent price.

I love the handles - they are one of the best out there to use - and I’d happy use one every day if it weren’t for the disappointing quality of their knots, which have very little backbone in my experience. I’ve only used their badger brushes though, and know they don’t use badger anymore, so maybe their synthetic knots are better?
