Hiya,

Recently saw this 1952 movie, made in the film noir style. Good plot, good characters, and on the gritty side. Anyone who's a fan of this genre will probably enjoy what's offered on the screen. John Payne does a nice job in his role. He reminds me of Jimmy Stewart in a way, except Mr Payne doesn't mind getting his hands dirty.

As a bonus, you got the even crazier than usual wild eyed performance from Jack Elam (the guy who's smoking).

Jack Elam, now there's a name from the past. Remember him mostly from the westerns...A Great character actor, you don't get 'em like that any more, everybody nowadays has to be pretty / handsome and have perfect white teeth..
