Thanks Barry! I’ll have a look at that video soon! It is really in excellent condition - I’d dare to say nearly as new if not for few small scratches on the underside and those blemishes on top! Will definitely give it an outing sometime soon! Love the 1912s , they’re great little shavers! This is my 3rd 1912 , for £15 and being boxed, I couldn’t pass it up !Something of interest..
On a personal note i would leave it the way it is. It looks superb, the marks are just superficial and won't effect the way it shaves .I recommend you load it up with a Personna Gem PTFE blade, whip up some nice lather and give this wonderful razor a try out...Everyone should try an Ever Ready 1912'....The soapy bath toothbrush scrub and peek polish is more than adequate to get rid of any nasties, you've made it shave safe....Enjoy your maiden shave with an amazing vintage shaving tool. Yours-Barry.

Is it brushless?I was offered this as a free gift for leaving a review on a product I bought not long since..how could I say no ! It’s taken 5 weeks for them to send it but it’s here now View attachment 72272
It says on the tub that it can be used with a badger brush but I have seen other reviews saying it doesn’t lather thought it would be good for those quick shaves or travel..I think it was @Digimonkey if I’m not mistaken that I saw use it in a SoTd and enquired what he thought… he said he thought it was decent enough for those times you may not have much time to lather, maybe he will chime in with his opinionIs it brushless?
Immortal peach? Did it get released again? I’d be interested to hear your opinion on it! It’s one that caught my interest a while ago!Not posted one of these for a while. Got a new phone too so christening the cameraView attachment 72273

My opinion - thank you for asking - remains the same, pretty much. Brush or brushless - for what it is - it's pretty good at it. Excellent for head shaving. - I.It says on the tub that it can be used with a badger brush but I have seen other reviews saying it doesn’t lather thought it would be good for those quick shaves or travel..I think it was @Digimonkey if I’m not mistaken that I saw use it in a SoTd and enquired what he thought… he said he thought it was decent enough for those times you may not have much time to lather, maybe he will chime in with his opinion

The Hampshire Wool Fat. I certainly get a cedar and patchouli scent from it; as my Le Pere Lucien is similar. No ‘farmyard honk’ either. Looking forward to trying it later.
That’s interesting. I get on well with LPL. Opinions differ as to its lather quality, though. I’ve found that my puck doesn’t like too much water on the brush. The trade off is obviously more product and essential oils which must react with you. I can’t use TOBS Sandalwood soap for the same reason; irrespective of hydration, my face looks like a Hallowe’en cake afterwards.IMO, it's vastly superior to the LPL counterpart, which aside from having a reasonable lather made my face burn like there was no tomorrow.
