Is this a new 'superspeed'?

Gents,

Saw these razors the other day:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.connaughtshaving.com/weishi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.connaughtshaving.com/weishi.html</a><!-- m -->

The look to all intents and purposes the same as a super speed.
Has anyone used them?

No, haven't seen one in the flesh, but there has been some discussion of them before on this forum, as well as others. The general consensus seems to be that they are extremely mild shavers but, with that in mind, good value. There are some very funky coloured versions available:

but sadly not from Connaught so far. Hope this helps.

Weishi is indeed Chinese, and is considered a serious producer of useful razors.

Alas, they have no intention of making skeletons for woodturners to make customs. I've still to find a (the) Chinese supplier that makes these...

i had the gunmetal one.

no problems with build quality on mine, does give a mild shave though.
probably on a par with a Feather Popular in the aggressiveness stakes.

Very tricky to shave with - very little blade exposure and the sweetspot where the blades cut whiskers is very small.

Makes you focus very hard on technique - but a very nice shaver when coupled with a sharp blade.
