Is there a difference

All the guys who have used both American and English Flare tips, do they shave the same or are they completely different animals.

I have a US flare tip and fancy giving an English one ago but don't see the point if they shave the same. I don't seem to get as comfortable shaves from the flare tip as i do with my HD rocket. May however be the choice of blade, and i intend to try the Green 7o'clocks that have prooved so good in the HD next week.

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

From a purely personal point of view - the English version of any razor is slightly more aggressive - which can mean lots of things to lots of people - but basically English Gillettes require fewer strokes to get the job done.

Of course, other peoples' views may differ.

Nope I'm with you on that Vinny... British ones are both slightly more aggressive and more refined/smoother at the same time in my experience.

Probably the very best vintage, English-made DE Razor . . . ever.

Ah. So from a shaving point of view i have already got the best shaver out there. Have to say she is performing superbly. Just thought it might be nice to switch the flare tip Super speed for a flare tip rocket.
