This morning I paired up a spare EJ89 head I have with a Bob's Razor Works handle, and a Nacet Platinum blade.
I've got to say that I like the EJ/Muhle head, but on the EJ hande, I've never been entirely convinced. It's always felt a little bit underpowered. I thought I'd try it on the Bob's Razor Works handle I've got (it's solid brass and HEAVY).
What a massive transformation - it gives the head a smoothness and authority which has just given me a fantastic shave. I still find the shiny chrome finish of the head doesn't glide as well as some of the other razors I have (it's almost a little sticky), but this morning I've just had a fantastic shave from this combination - smooth, easy, close.
Oh, and I'm really liking the Nacet platinum blades too. Smooth, sharp and they keep their edge better than a 7'oClock yellow. Nanny's Lemony Lime topped off the experience.
