Those lugs on the baseplate are just perfectly placed, aren't they? The other baseplate should give you an ability to set the blade back a little for a milder shave, but it is a tight fit.
So, Schick now well and truly out-Schicked?
Folks looking at this and wanting their own, this is a Christy. There are also razors from Keen Kutter, especially ones with coloured bakelite handles, that work really well (see my recent SOTD pictures). The main difference is the Christy has lugs on the baseplate which makes aligning an injector blade a doddle, but no room for adjustment forwards or backwards; the Keen Kutter has a flat base and so offers that ability, but it is a little more fiddly to set up. Both hold the blade well and hold it in place throughout the shave.
