Could anyone please help in ID'ing this Gillette Razor? It has "Made in England" and it has the code R 1 under the head (R-handle-1) I guess its circa 1970's and was from a old no-name "luxury" wash kit owned by my old man. He used it as part of his Army wash kit. I can not find any matches for it on google. Thanks in anticipation! :s

I have something exactly the same but with a white handle dated to 1980. It was in a set I picked up at a boot sale this summer for £1.
I'm not sure it has an official name like the 'canon' Gillettes do. Sorry that's not much help but I think it is a sort of generic Gillette. Hopefully someone will say if otherwise.

Every little helps!

1951ish had a black fluted handle . Can't tell from you photo if yours does?

1968ish round handled with gillette engraved head- date code N? Was made in Europe Germany France for a travel set . Round black may be circular striations .

The other black handled ones were WW2 ones

Its a Plastic Handled Gillette "Tech" from the late sixties........have one myself
they were found in grooming sets.

Thanks Sunburyboy I see where you were going with the tech thing but head seems completely:icon_razz: different (coding and seating) and non of the handles come close on the tech's. I think we are getting warmer!

The head is the same that can be found on the UK Ally Handled Techs from the early Sixties...

found a French (german made) version of your Razor on Mr Razors site:
