How many brushes

Just 5 for for me. 3 New Forest (Tubby 2, Tubby 1 Tigris and 1901), Semogue 620 Boar and just ordered a Kent Synthetic infinity. Had others and sold them on, if they don't get used they get sold.

3. Cheap Edwin Jagger boar and henk (of this parish) did me a silvertip badger in (my request) walnut.

EJ is on our left.
I also have an even cheaper no name travel boar.
Never got the brush bug. Yet.

Both in regular use one for creams and one for soaps.

Couple of in branded boar brushes one is unused and one was my first brush

And enroute from china a franks shaving silver tip with a red and black stripped handle

4 for me. 3 Vulfix (synthetic, badger&bristle, bristle) and a Men-U bristle. The Badger&Bristle is the best performer closely followed by the synthetic.

I've got around 35-37 of one brand and around 20 odd of other brands.

Buying has slowed a bit but there are still some others I want to try.

Everyone on here should have a small collection of brushes to enable others to make an informed choice about what to try next.
Once upon a time I had around 100 across brands.
Now I have two Kents, one Simpsons, one Trumpers plus boxfuls of another brand!

Agreed - or you don't know what you like. I've sold a Kent BK8 (too big) and a Wee Scot (too small). Now my brush range is ~22mm knots with ~95mm overall height (give or take a few mm)

What's the one Simpsons that you've kept?
