How do you store your brushes?

Thanks, I thought people would be quite divided with this, I store my on it's handle inside my shaving mug knot facing upwards.
 
I used to use one of those plastic stands while the brush was drying but found that some brushes fell out into the sink below or onto the floor.
Now I recommend shake, gentle towel dry and sit on its base, just like the others.

I found that to with the first stand I had, I bought this stand from vintage scent and it's a lot better. The opening is a bit more closed and surrounds the brush to stop it falling out, it also has a place to store your razor.
 
On it's handle like most others after reading a conclusive post (on B&B I think) demonstrating that brush stands are a waste of time.
They look better without a stand too.
