Well, having drowned myself in Bob last night having spoken to the market organiser and agreed a deal on the telephone, and then confirmed it by email yesterday evening, I received an email this morning telling me that he had changed his mind, and won't give me a stall.
Still, probably no reason to be surprised, he couldn't even keep track of his emails and respond to them. So Bob, Van and Laura notwithstanding, I think I'm probably better off out of it. When I emailed Glastonbury about next year, I got a clear prompt response. I'm afraid the man who is supposed to be organising Hop Farm market traders, who doesn't even discolse his name, does not inspire confidence.
I mean am I being unreasonable in thinking that if a person (unnamed) sends you an offer and you respond with a query, you can expect an answer?
So, I will be at Glastonbury, but not with a stall (or at least not a soap stall, but if you're in the Green Field you might find me).....and I might have a little soap round the back.
I'm in the middle of a big learning curve with all this, but am learning that my gut instincts are good, and decent reliable people should not be too much to ask for.
End of little rant.
