Hop Farm Festival

Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and others.......you may or may not wish to put your computer on mute while looking at the website http://www.hopfarmfestival.com/home.aspx#/home.aspx

I'm thinking of having a stall at this festival Fri 2nd -Sat 3rd July, finishes when the bar closes on Sun 3rd at 2.00am. Tickets cost £110 + £25 for camping. I can take 3 helpers (which may include my friend who doesn't know whether she can come or not yet). So maybe 2 places to spare. I'm thinking minimal (preferably reasonably sober) help in return for cheap ticket. I haven't definitely decided to take the stall yet.....you wouldn't believe how much these things cost, and of course if it pours I don't imagine I'll sell the 50 squillion bars of soap necessary to cover the cost.

So if you, your children, grandchildren or grandparents might be interested, PM me.

Well, having drowned myself in Bob last night having spoken to the market organiser and agreed a deal on the telephone, and then confirmed it by email yesterday evening, I received an email this morning telling me that he had changed his mind, and won't give me a stall.
Still, probably no reason to be surprised, he couldn't even keep track of his emails and respond to them. So Bob, Van and Laura notwithstanding, I think I'm probably better off out of it. When I emailed Glastonbury about next year, I got a clear prompt response. I'm afraid the man who is supposed to be organising Hop Farm market traders, who doesn't even discolse his name, does not inspire confidence.
I mean am I being unreasonable in thinking that if a person (unnamed) sends you an offer and you respond with a query, you can expect an answer?
So, I will be at Glastonbury, but not with a stall (or at least not a soap stall, but if you're in the Green Field you might find me).....and I might have a little soap round the back. :D
I'm in the middle of a big learning curve with all this, but am learning that my gut instincts are good, and decent reliable people should not be too much to ask for.
End of little rant.

Sadly it's the same weekend as the Saunders Mountain Marathon in the Lake District http://www.slmm.org.uk/.
There'll be plenty of men in need of a shave there but no music and poor sanitation facilities (I leave my razor at home for the weekend).
