honing

hi guys just picked up a
A 6/8” English wedge Straight Razor by Butterfield. and was wondering if there is some were in the uk i can send it to get honed here is a picture of it i hope any help would be great full.

Wow, that looke like a very nice razor! Did you by any change buy it from Taylor/Tony? He´s a good seller, if so. Neil Miller should be your guy, http://www.strop-shop.co.uk/, he can put the best edge on it and then you have a reference to what a shave ready blade can be.

I´m not sure it´s a good sign I knew that, but I know his set up for taking pictures :lol: You most likely made a good buy with this, as he´s honest and actually finds good blades (well, another guy who does the foot work, but he fixes them up).

I'll add a +1 for Neil at strop shop he did a lovely job on my old ebay straight. Sending from a last resort to the first thing I reach for. He even sorted out the fact I left the covering note on my desk when I posted the razor off.

Have you had chance to get it honed yet? If so, how's the shave and balance overall?
