Left: 2 1/2-inch wide oil strop, 48-hour soak in Camellia oil + 24-hour drip-off

Right: 2 1/2-wide strop with Le Prevo's 'Razor Strop Leather'. Soft/flat/smooth, very nice too!

Is the one of the right horsehide? I love horsehide strops. I feel a little guilty for saying that, but it is the smoothest leather I've handled.

Not sure but I think it's too thick to be horsehide. But it's had some kind of softening and smoothening treatment, I will try and find out more! cheers Michael
