Welcome :) My first DE was a Merkur travel razor (open-comb). It's still one of my favourites. A mild and very easy shave and I love the way it dismantles into a tiny package.

Resist the urge to try multiple razors, soaps & creams and you'll stand a chance of not becoming a pauper like most of us here

The Edwin Jagger was a moment of weakness, it was down to £15, and my Merkur is showing a few signs of wear, so...
Luckily, I have plenty of blades from the sampler so I've started the blade matching process over again. Really, I know I should stick to one blade and just work on technique

Can I recommend Astra (Green & Blue variants), and Voskhod blades for the Edwin Jagger razor - all three are well matched to it
