After some advice please. I recently acquired a vintage shaving brush with a nice handle and a knackered knot. I have successfully removed the knot (knife, drill and lots of swearing) and am wanting to re-knot the little blighter.
Diameter of the hole is 25mm and it tapers down slightly so I am thinking 22mm knot to allow a bloom. I have plenty of depth to set the knot how I wish and will probably need to raise the height with some epoxy first.
Question is which knot to buy from Golden nib? I have Fido's NF2201 already and fancy trying something a little scrubbier as a contrast. I like the Vulfix 404 I have which I know is a mix but was wondering which grade of badger to go for, Finest, Best or something else entirely!
I already have a 24mm Finest Badger with extra hair to put in a handle that neocaligatio kindly sent me which I am also working on now so maybe not that either.
Oh so much to choose from - you decide!!
