Hello all,

I am a recent convert to DE shaving after about 15 years of cans and cartridges. The change was triggered by a lunchtime pub chat with my dad about straight razors and old fashioned barber shops - followed by a few internet searches. I have started with a Merkur Futur - while I practise with a straight (my current thinking is that straight razor will only ever be an occasional).

What had been a chore is now a pleasure and I have started collecting more gear than is strictly necessary - it is reassuring to know I'm not the only one.

I too did the budget forecasts before changing, but two more packages arrived yesterday - so time to try the new Edwin Jagger razor tonight (not decided which blade yet).
