Hello from Mid Wales

Best say hello.

New to this forum. But not new to shaving.

Till now it's been a chore. Used them all - Braun, Remington, Philips, Gillete Sensor, Excel, Mach 3 etc etc. But having spoken to a few people I've decided to junk the multi-blade razors and buy myself a proper safety razor. I'm expecting a Merkur 38C through the post any day now. Already got myself a Boots shave stick and a bristle (not badger) brush. Shaved this morning using those and seemed better than shaving foam or gel.

Suddenly, shaving now seems to be something to look forward to every morning. Let's hope so.

Welcome squire. Yep, quality of shaves goes up, shaving paraphenalia goes through the roof and bank balance plummets - if you're doing it right

enjoy the 38C, it is a great razor, just let the 'weight' of it provide all the pressure you need and just use your hand to guide it's path and you'll be fine!
