Handle Repair

'20's ball end OLD type, that silver handle is not Gillette. That's what I started shaving with, and I still think they're as good as or better than anything made since. Very efficient and user friendly shaver.
 
Is the handle repair simply a length of brass tubing? I've done this in the past where split handles were beyond use. It does want some grip, for which heatshrink tubing is a good call. Make it a millimeter or two too long and it'll shrink perfectly into place.
