Handle Repair

I picked up this Old Gillette, the handle looks wrong, not sure? I did have an old cracked handle I needed to repair.

Any idea what it is @TobyC
'20's ball end OLD type, that silver handle is not Gillette. That's what I started shaving with, and I still think they're as good as or better than anything made since. Very efficient and user friendly shaver. (y)

Look about right?

Is the handle repair simply a length of brass tubing? I've done this in the past where split handles were beyond use. It does want some grip, for which heatshrink tubing is a good call. Make it a millimeter or two too long and it'll shrink perfectly into place.

Here's an example (with a rare unsplit handle) that I had replated and didn't want the knurl to get mucky or tatty ... so heatshrink skinned it. Just the central section:
