Guitar Strap

Hey guys I'm very new at shaving with a straight razor, I've had two shaves so far still don't own a strop have a baby on the way. I do however have a Martin&Co black leather guitar strap. It is full grain leather. Will it work as a strop?

There are lots of things that can be used as a strop - including newspaper - look at the thread in the Straight Razor section. With leather you need something about 2.5 inches wide - that's not valuable because you will nick it when stropping. Why not look on Ebay - there is a UK seller (Leather&Stuff) who sells strops starting at about £15. I'm sure you will find even better deals in the USA.

If I were you I wouldn't be risking the guitar strap
