Mid sixties, in Liverpool ? - I suppose you didn't get to see them ?
It may sound a bit lame but I'd love to do a Beatles place tour of London and Liverpool...( Magical Mystery Pub Tour is coming to take me away ? )

i spent a week in Sydney and 3 on the Gold Coast when i was there

so that'll mean your in Perth or Melbourne :lol:

I grew up in Sydney and moved to Canberra in the A.C.T. about 20 years ago.
When were you down here ? - did you get a chance to do any surfing ? ( I mean wave surfing of course ! )
 
Spooky to say Andy, but around 1963 / 1964 the big group in the Pool were the Undertakers, later renamed as I recall as the Takers. Just like the Merseybeats became the Merseys. So, nope, I was there in the 60s & never even went to the Cavern or saw the Beatles. On the other hand I had some fun times at both the Royal Tiger in the city centre & the infamous Jokers . Just think of the memorabilhia I coulda got had I known then what I know now.

I suppose you know the best cure for Aussie sunburn is to drink beer !
