Gillette 7 O'Clock Blades

Most will give the edge to the Yellow 7’s. They are the only ones I have tried out of the three and have stocked up on them.

My order of preference:

Iridium’s
Super Thins
Yellow 7’s
 
Their is 3 colours and 4 diffrent blades.

Yellow sharp edge (russian)
green stainless (russian)
green perma sharp (indian)
black platinum (indian)

The yellow ones are very good for me, but have yet to try all and want to get the black ones as well as have heard good things. Have the russian green but yet to try.
 
Might have to try the Green and Black ones, just to make sure... ;)

The reason I ask is because I have heard good reports about these blades as a daily shaver. I have to shave everyday for work. Not keen on the Derby's, the feathers I save for the weekends, red personnas seem ok but I only get 2 shaves and then I get major razor burn on my neck. I like Sharks, don't like the Astras and wanted to try the Gillette's . But didn't want to buy a batch and find they didn't suit my skin............ :roll:
 
I have a pack and 1/2 (ish) each of Derby's and Astra's if anyone wants them. I will post then 2nd class so you should get them in a few days. PM me if ur interested as they will just sit on the shelf or if you want to trade something for me to try?
 
Well, the ebay seller cocked up my order - I ordered 100 Yellows and 50 Greens to try the greens (the Yellows I know and like a lot).
I got 50 Yellows and 100 Greens - so if the Greens dont work out watch this space for a PIF/Trade-a-thon :|
I have emailed the seller, but its really too much of a faff to ship them back so I will have to live with them.

Russian Greens.

What can I say.
The first shave was comparable with a yellow, so was shave 2, shave 3 however wasnt and the blade felt off, tugging and not as keen.
So 2 good shaves, one poor shave - unlike the yellows that I can push to 4 shaves.
Other than that they are OK.

The vendor did send me 50 yellows and said if I liked the greens that I should pay him for them, otherwise bin them.
I have already gifted some to a work mate who is just starting off his wet shaving career (along with a Gillette Tech and some other blades, a Men-U brush and some Palmolive soap). So watch this space as I think they will be either offered soe trade or getting PIF'ed quite soon.
