FT article on straight razor shaving

The FT online has an article on straight shaving.
Nothing new really but I thought it worth a share as we don't see it in the press that much.
Cut-throats typically start at £150. My shave ready sharp as fuck 1920s straight cost £30 delivered 5 years ago.
Seems more like an editorial space filler. Although I do appreciate the nod to traditional shaving. (y)

Dovo and Thiers-Issard used to be quite expensive. The rise of the inexpensive Gold Dollars probably had an effect.

Yeah it's true vintage razors are generally better value. I suppose the FT imagine that if their readership aren't already clued up on SRs then they'll buy from Executive and pay 150+ for a new one. Finding a vintage one in shave ready condition is easy if you know where to look but until you hit the forums you'll have no clue who to buy from.
