Gaggia UK are based right here in Halifax. They'll recondition all their machines. A pal of mine had his old Classic reconditioned and gave it to me. Top notch! But then, it should be. The classic is a great machine.
If you really get into it ... mod it with a pressure gauge. I always found that cracking off a little pressure through the steam wand prior to pouring gave me better brews - later, with a pressure gauge attached, I found out why.

Oh, and when you first get it and you're trying to get that perfect tamp and good extraction, post up here whatever random gibberish you're thinking and for how long you're awake. You'll get fried! We all do it.
