First shave with DE

Today I recieved my stuff: Merkur Futur + 5 Derby blades, 30 x Feathers, Proraso and an Edwin Jager brush- not sure which one!

As I opened the box of the Futur I was amazed at how big the thing was! Got everything out, stuck a Feather in with the Futur on 1, and began making my lather in a bowl from the kitchen. Found a nice thickness to it quite quickly which was good. Did about 3 WTG- just to get used to it, 2XTG and 1 ATG- despite warnings there was no irritation.

Cleanest shave ever!
 
I've been DE shaving for 6 months now, and I haven't yet dared try a Feather blade. :roll: :lol: Seriously, be careful with them, and I would recommend getting your technique grooved with a more forgiving blade.
 
Feather + Futur, ah yes, I remember your welcome post. Good result, very encouraging, but a lot of people find that continuous use of Feathers leads to irritation, which was why I recommended a fall back blade to switch to if necessary.
