First Cold Wet Shave - My Thoughts

Nice to read of someone having success with cold water, it is quite intriguing for me because I tried it and really hated it. It's odd how some people love it, and some people really don't get on with it. For me, with the same soap, razor, blade combo, the shave is just very grabby with cold water. The blade doesn't cut my hairs efficiently. Warm water seems to soften my hair up somewhat.

I do however use cold water to rinse the Alum off, to tighten the skin up, then apply balm...
 
I wet my face initially with warm water and when I have used hot water, I have found no difference in the shave. Cool water to rise my face. I find that my skin does not feel smooth and soft until about ten minutes after shaving so wait til then to put balm on ,although some creams or soap makes the skin feel good enough not to use balm.
