Firefox 4 issues

Aargh! Just upgraded to Firefox 4.0, now the Back button (keyboard and mouse) is not working. Can't find a solution. Anyone had this and solved it?

I've not experienced that, is it persistent across restarts of firefox? Also, which extensions/add-ons do you have enabled?

it persists across several restarts, irrespective of normal mode/safe mode and addons enabled/disabled. Back function not working with either keyboard or mouse.

Downloaded the previous version and now all is roses again in the garden. Not having a "back" function makes forum browsing very unwieldy. Think I will avoid updating until I see whether this issue has been resolved.

Been using Firefox 4 since beta 1 - no such issues here...

One issue I did have was that I upgraded from 3.6 to 4.0b1 and I had the Sync/Weave addon installed - which is part of 4.0... mangled a lot of the dialogue boxes until I uninstalled the addon.

I expect it was one of my addons which was causing the problem. Didn't like the look if the new Fox anyway so I'll happily stick with 3.6.whatever for the time being. :lol:

Not quite - the buttons were all present on the toolbar - but the "back" button was always greyed out. Hitting the backspace button also failed to take the browser back to the previous page, and the back button on the mouse didn't work. Only in firefox though, and only with the 4.0 version.

I've just downloaded it just now to replace 3.6 and after playing with it for a minute or two, all I can say is

waited til the "official" i.e. non-beta version 4.0 came out. Same issues, even with all the add-ons disabled. Bunch. Of. Ass. Also looks a lot like Chrome. Back to 3.6 it is then.
