This is a shaving forum!!!Open it up a little, and leave it in.
I rinse and dry the razor and the blade and put the blade in the razor I will be using next. Usually the same razor as I like to use one razor for the life of the blade.
Leave it in if it's SS, never had a problem, don't clean it or dry it either, comes out when it's dead.
And I don't wash and dry my soap either.
Give each type of blade a fair go first though as some of them offer their best shaves at the 3rd or 4th go. Supermax Blue Diamond Titanium are good examples of this along with Gillette Silver Blues - my personal opinion of course!i take the blade out, leave it dry completely. In the meantime i dry and polish the razor thoroughly. Then i put the dried and cleaned blade in. That's it. However, i only use a single blade for max. 2 shaves: There's no point IMHO in using the old bad habit we inherited from carts, where we have to stretch the max possible shaves from a very costly cart. Here we have a blade that costs 0.1 euros so..please!!!!
IPA =???I dip my already rinsed and dismantled razor and blade in IPA. Leave all the parts on tissue whilst I dress, by which time the IPA has evaporated. I then reinsert the blade and assemble the razor ready for next time. Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus crisis, IPA is probably hard to get hold of at present.
Took me a moment to realise you weren't talking about Indian Pale AleI dip my already rinsed and dismantled razor and blade in IPA.
