Did I do the right thing?

Saw this auction on Ebay last night and popped a snipe on it for more than I can really afford (especially as I don't really know the condition apart from the pictures on the auction)

I had a look at Mr Razor's site and I am hoping it is this: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/One-Piece%20open%20comb/1939%20Popular%20No47%20England.JPG">http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/One-Pi ... ngland.JPG</a><!-- m -->

Any thoughts on if I am right and if I did OK. I fear I paid too much but it looks so lovely :D

If you bought it to use and your pleased with it then you did the right thing :) .
If you bought it to sell on there's always a risk.
regards, beejay

Nice razor!..use a dab of flouride toothpaste with a small brush..shiny as new

It doesn't need to be fluoride toothpaste, the important thing is that it is toothpaste (as in opaque mostly white) as opposed to "toothpaste gel" because the cleansing action is due to mild abrasion from the silica. :ugeek:

The fluoride only gives you a strong razor, more resistant to cavities :lol:

Inadvertently you've given some good advice, toothpaste with added bicarb of soda or baking soda should work.

Thanks for the advice, I have bought to use and keep, not to sell. I have had a hankering for a TTO open comb for some time now and now I have one.

Is it a Popular? If so, Mr Razor oesn't say if it is Nickel or Rhodium plated. Any clues anybody?
