Culmak shaving soap.

Have got the Culmak soap. Unfortunately I found the soap awful, no glide or cushion, and it left my skin feeling really dry and sore, it might be ok for other folk ? A much better buy would be the Cyril Salter hard soap as found on Connaught shaving and other vendors, really good lather, slick etc, total opposite of the Culmak

Likewise, the vintage that I have is night and day different to the modern black tubs. On that @Roy they do come up on eBay with reasonable frequency in brand new/sealed condition and well worth getting.

I have this set myself and can confirm it's a damn good example of household name British shaing soap.

I have a couple of Culmak vintage soaps and really enjoy them, however, the 'new' soap in the black tub is terrible, I wouldn't even use it as bath soap, it's that bad, but I'd highly recommend the vintage Culmak
