Place the brush upside down to aid drying? Knot on the prongs? - complete and utter guess...I happened upon this recently ...
Any ideas how it might be used? I guess the internal cavity is for a shaving soap but I'm baffled by the three prongs.

Well, yes ... but that would pull the hairs together making a damp core. I suppose the brush could kinda balance like on an angle cradled by the prongs but even that would not gain anything over and above just sitting the brush on its base.Place the brush upside down to aid drying? Rinse it, Squeeze it out, run it up and down a towel to dry it .....Hmmm ... unless you're just supposed to draw the bristles through any two of the prongs to kinda wring it out? Again, not sure why you can't just grasp the knot and squeeze.
