Culmak Shaving Brush Drier

I happened upon this recently ...

Any ideas how it might be used? I guess the internal cavity is for a shaving soap but I'm baffled by the three prongs.

Place the brush upside down to aid drying? Knot on the prongs? - complete and utter guess...

Well, yes ... but that would pull the hairs together making a damp core. I suppose the brush could kinda balance like on an angle cradled by the prongs but even that would not gain anything over and above just sitting the brush on its base.

I like to think you actually put the brush into the cavity and place a crystal in the prongs!

Hmmm ... unless you're just supposed to draw the bristles through any two of the prongs to kinda wring it out? Again, not sure why you can't just grasp the knot and squeeze.

i was actually watching it for a while then decided against it.

Rinse it, Squeeze it out, run it up and down a towel to dry it .....
