Correct way of holding a straight razor.

The reason I ask is because yesterday I used a Feather AS straight and managed a pretty good full shave (2 pass and a clean up with 1 nick and a couple weepers...... ). I found that had more control of the razor as it has a straight handle. So is there a correct must do way of holding a folding i.e. "normal" straight or can i use it with everything in a straight line?

In my opinion there is no "correct" way, the only way is the way you're comfortable with it.
Stop trying to do it in a particular way, and just go with what feels right.

I agree: whatever works. Best to keep one's fingers off the sharp bit though.

@ Max, thanks, i think if I spend less time thinking about holding the razor and more about what it is doing things will improve more as sometimes the handle seems to be in the way.......... :? :?
