SE - the future!

Thanks to great members on here, yet again, I've had an opportunity to try out the single edge world. Strangely I can't yet use my usual cold water routine, maybe in time, but with hot the shave (mostly) is very close and irritation free.

Yesterday my Streamline arrived and I was a little concerned as some members have not had great shaves from them - BBS for me which only goes to show how true YMMV is.

A Shovelhead next methinks.

Glad you're getting on well with it Neil. My Streamline tends to be my "go to" daily razor & believe me, SEs just get better from here on in !

Pleased to hear you've got the knack for it Neil!
As great as it looks I think I'll stick with the DE and just dabble with a nice safe 1912.

I feel the same - since I got an Ever Ready 1912 a few weeks ago I've only used one of my DE's once, for shaving my head :icon_razz:
I love the intuitive feel of the shave, the sound, the wierd appearance of the razor, the whole package just speaks to me.

They're great aren't they. I'd like a Gem lather catcher if I can ever find a reasonably priced one.

Thanks to a member here I've just become the owner of an Ever Ready 1912.

Looking forward to my first shave with it later in the week.

I have to say, it's my first vintage razor, I like the look of it and can't wait to give it some action.
