Col Conk's soaps

anyone use them?.......rate them?

They rarely get a mention at TSR. From what I can glean they are decent soaps but nothing more. You can get more for your money. It would be nice to hear if anyone is currently using them.

I haven't tried them, but I read that they are only regular/poor soaps except from almond version, which some people think is the best in Col Conk range.

I also think that there are better soaps, so I would only buy one if I get a cheap offer.

I have the almond one, it's ok, quite a nice scent and lathers well enough with our soft Devon water. Not sure if I'd buy again, nothing against it but I've other favourites a nd news still to try.

Somewhere I have a cake of the Bay Rum version. It's not bad, as such, but it's a glycerine soap, and they don't seem to do the job as well as tallow or palm based soap for me.

I might just did it out and give it a spin.

Have tried the almond and it was immensely forgettable.

I've also tried them. A few kind members gave me some samples.

They aren't the best tbh. Prof B does a better glycerine soap.

Probs the worst glycerine soap I've ever used (personal view). Just don't compare with the likes of Prof B, Mama Bear or Scent from Heaven. All of which well outperform it & are way better value. In our exceedingly soft Strathclyde water I had difficulty obtaining anything more than a lacklustre, watery kind of scum as a lather.

I have a cake of the lime. Scent is underwhelming. I wont be buying it again.
