A request from a client who wanted a brush with a yew handle.
A nicely featured piece of English Yew 60mm x 37mm fitted with 20mm super badger - 52mm loft.
Yew can be a temperamental wood at times but this piece had no flaws other than the pippy knots which give it character.

Wow - that certainly is a lovely looking brush.

I like the way the design is simple allowing the beauty of the yew to stand out and be the real centre of attention.

I normally use my own mix to finish wood but this was simply Tung oil buffed to a soft sheen.
