Cleaning

So every so often I try to keep mrs CjH happy by cleaning all the shelves and ledges in the bathroom. And then while I'm at it I give all my razors, brushes and bottles etc a scrub/wipe over.

Do you have any particular cleaning schedule/routine? If so, What is it?

For me it's ad hoc. The tiled area between window and sink gets a good clean every day as that's where most of my SotDs are taken. I usually wash and polish the razors before the pic/after the shave. So they're cleaned in rotation rather than as part of a cleaning routine.

Ad hoc for me too, but I usually clean several razors at once. Into the sink with water and a little washing up liquid, sometimes brush them with an old toothbrush and toothpaste.
I have used Brasso to clean old razors that are new to me, after sterilising them in denture sterilising fluid.

I don’t have that problem fortunately
none of my gear is on display.
My Razors, Brushes & Aftershaves are to precious for a warm sticky environment but it does look good

Use till dirty, then clean… My stuff is very much function over form, I don’t clean my toothpaste either.

I clean my bathroom every day before I use it! I share the house with someone who who isn't as OCD as me and my razor's get cleaned dried and polished after use and then put back in their original boxes!
I wish I had my own bathroom!

I have a vintage white metal and glass Spanish doctors cabinet, I'd say it's a display cabinet and two shelves are dedicated to my shaving gear and keeps the dust off..Dusting is a job I ain't too keen on, need a French house maid all twanged up!.

The house keeper has just pointed out that If insist upon calling her ‘the house keeper’ then she will divorce me and indeed become ‘the house keeper’ … Flipping Garlic munchers … off to deflate the tyres on her little black bicycle!
