Cleaning up a C-Mon

Sometimes I get the feeling that the C-Mon is little bit like the poor-man's Rubberset 400.
It shares quite a bit of the look of it's more expensive cousins looks but is commonly found for about $10 (I think mine here was even less than that) - where the Rubberset 400s often fetch prices 10 times of that.
Sure - it's not the same thick aluminum and it doesn't have those regal looking 'fins' at its base..but its still a brush that, I think, can hold its own as far as looks goes. Certainly for $10 :)

I put some effort into cleaning it up a bit last night.

Sure, it's not perfect but thanks to some Maas it is a whole lot shinier :)
The knot will obviously have to be replaced....

So, if you're looking for a vintage, metal brush handle..don't immediately skip past the modest C-Mons - there is something about the look of them. At least to me :)
