Got a couple of Zippo's. Nice, tactile and things that flame are always awesome. I do like old dunhill and Ronsons they just look so retro cool. They should make a Vape machine - I'd buy it.
I like the old and smelly things, like gun oil, old leather, lighter fuel, oil lamps etc.
There's a couple of shaving soaps that are made to smell just like petroleum/gear lubrication - supposedly some are quite good.
Examples;
Hoppes #9 scent:
So in bed, running a fever and eating Singaporean style soup (basically dumplings and bok choy) I decided I needed a lighter before X-Mas.
Narrowed it down and down down...until I had a handful of 'around $10 lighters' and picked the one that seemed like the best deal. It ended up being a Zippo (to my surprise).
It even come with patina and is supposedly ready to go
I rather like the 'worn' look and if that saves me some money even better
Fantastic! I had not seen those!!! Thank you!
I take it you're rather familiar w/ Hoppes #9?
Supposedly that soap is a dead ringer for it.Yep, very much so!
I've got a Peterson pipe lighter based on the Old Boy design at a fraction of the price.
Haven't owned a lighter since I quit smoking in 2013. This has made me invest in a new (used eBay) chrome model. Purely for outside bag
