what brand do you guys recomend?

looking to pay under £50 but would like one that is quite durable as a lot of the work is on a construction site as im an apprentice bms electrician?

Nah...you still want some pleasure when wearing a work watch, you should be able to find a G-shock for around fifty quid they are pretty indestructible.

think ill go for cheap one for now till i can have a proper look at a later date

There was a G-shock t'other day for under £50, quite a few come up for around that price which is a bargain considering how tough they are. And if you get the right one it will never even need a battery.

Citizen eco drive from Argos:

OK, it's £60, but it's a great watch. Build quality is first rate and mine has certainly taken the knocks. Being solar powered, you don't have to worry about changing the batteries. Also, they have great lume; useful if you are working in low light.

The "military" eco-drives are so good I have bought another two since.

This the same one I have on today. Had it a few years now and it's as good as new. It's been puked on, (by daughter), it's Benin a pool and also through a 40 degree wash cycle. I would replace it tomorrow with out question.

IMHO there's only one choice at this price point.

Seiko 5

Tons of watches share this movement, so you'll find one you like the look of. It's a proper Japanese automatic self winding movement, none of this battery of kinetic nonsense. A 5 will go on forever and need nothing from you.

Bizarre I just had to stretch that pic over all 4 monitors to see the watch itself -ENORMOUS and no horizontal scroll at all!

@shanky887614 could you do a smaller (800x600?) pic of it next to a Zippo or razor blade or whatever for a sense of scale? Please.
