I got my cella into a bigger tub. when in the red tub the top was firm. darker then the rest. firm like cream cheese from the fridge. the bottom was soft like a fresh tub of taylors.

im curious how it can have that darker top layer that lathers differently then the bottom.

If you transfer the soap to a wet brush, then there is an element of rehydration of the surface, and I suspect it's mostly down to oxidation.

the oxidized surface was tough and firm, like a block of cream cheese fresh from the fridge.

The new top surface is soft. I can push my finger in to the first joint without any issue at all. before with the factory surface I had to struggle to get my finger to make a dent a few MM deep.
